Cafe Society captures a time when there was such a thing as an international playboy– a time when Jet-set had not yet become ironic, but was a new phrase meaning sexy and modern.  Looking at these pictures, it feels like a glamour that we’ll never recapture– but, mark my words: there are photographs being made today that will, 40 years from now, create the same feeling that these images do for us today.
